Republic Wireless
I'm starting to have a long history with Republic Wireless. They're a telecommunications company in Raleigh, NC, that I interned with. As a graphic design intern, I helped with internet ads and blog graphics, as well as email design. After my internship, they asked me to work full-time over the summer.
That was the summer after I graduated, and at the end of the summer, they offered me a full-time position. I declined because I wanted to move to Atlanta. A year later, they asked me to help them with assets on a freelance basis, and I've since completed several projects for them. Below is a selection of all my RW work, starting with the most recent.
This is a render (which I created myself inside of PS) of a Data Sim Card Holder I designed for an experimental product rollout. The full mock-up is the hero image at the top of the page.
The iconography above and to the left were for another product launch, their ExtendHome hardware. ExtendHome allows you to connect multiple traditional landlines to a single device, which then syncs wirelessly with your RW phone, allowing them all to have your cell number and work over wifi, even at the same time. These icons are on their website, and were designed to follow their existing brand style guide.
Below is a project from when I was an intern. As an online-only service provider, Republic Wireless' Member Community became one of their most beloved offerings, and they have created a network of happy customers to serve as "Ambassadors," answering other members' questions in the forum. As an intern, I was given the opportunity to give their member community a brand and mark. I designed the logo, tweaked the colors on the site, and designed the drop-down page. Click on the images to take a closer look.
These next two graphics are digital and print, respectively. On the left is a blog graphic made as an educational piece for RW's customers - when you're an online-only cellphone service provider, it's important for your members to know how they can help to maintain high levels of user satisfaction. On the right is another educational piece. While I've continuously said that RW is an online-only service, they tested having a pop-up brick and mortar location in downtown Raleigh while I was an intern. They attracted a less tech-savvy audience, so I was asked to develop these phone cards that summarize each phone's pros and cons in a glance.
This is a selection of icons I created for a series of ongoing lifestyle blog posts on RW's blog, Phone Wallet Keys (PWK).
This piece is an infographic I created for a Pinterest post, in order to raise awareness about digital "addiction" and the decrease in outdoor activity. This messaging was typical for Relay, RW's first standalone product, and targeted parents who want to stay connected to their children without giving them full access to the world of the internet. The device itself can be described as a smart "walkie talkie" that relies on cell service.
Republic Wireless recently partnered with Greenlight, a community-owned cellular and TV provider, to bring service to rural areas. The graphic on the left is the standing banner I created for them to use at the Whirligig Festival in Wilson, NC, a rural town.
Here's a shot of the printed banner at their booth!
Lastly, I recently created a Halloween GIF for RW to use in email and on their site. They liked it very much, even earning a compliment from the Senior VP!

Did you see this sh*t?!
