Lucifer apparel
I'll spare you the sappy details, but I moved to Atlanta (giving up an offered job opportunity in Raleigh, NC, where I went to school), and for nearly 8 months, worked side jobs to scrape by while I searched for positions in the design field. During that time, I got frustrated and upset, which turned to anxiety. That led me to take an unpaid internship with a small agency (after being told I was interviewing for a paid job), where I was taken advantage of and ran out of money.
My anxiety spawned from two things: the fear that my skills would depreciate as time went by, and the fear that my portfolio wasn't good enough. To fix both of those things (and best case scenario make me a little money), I left the internship and created Lucifer Apparel, a fashion brand and functional e-commerce store that would be a living example of my ability to design and my work ethic.
